I'm Lindsay Rayne (Rain) ^That is me^

And this is my journal.

I'm a musician, a reader, a dreamer, a painter, an artist, and a photographer.

I play the piano, ukulele, and some guitar. I paint with odd objects to create interesting textures, I photograph as if I were in a fantasy, I dream things and incorporate them into my stories, I sketch and do charcoal portraits, and I will read anything you put in front of me as long as it has a little action, a little love, and a lot of emotion.

When your characters do something delightfully surprising without your planning.

Okay guys, you don’t need me

10 reasons why I want/ am going to keep writing.

  1. It’s a way for me to express my thoughts freely without worrying about what others have to say. (ex: having a character situation and have a character say what I wish I had said in person)
  2. It lets me show my fantasy world to everyone else. Shows people what’s going on inside my crazy head!
  3. It causes my parents to think I’m being productive when really I’m writing some nonsense that I probably wont even use. (When I scribble my ideas into my notebook)
  4. I want to write something, anything that will change someones view on any (non-specific) topic.
  5. Soda. (I only drink sodas when I get writers block.)
  6. It’s an excuse to listen to my classical music (Narnia soundtracks and such) VERY loud!  In most cases my parents have me turn it off, but my dad writes as well and he knows how much inspiration can come from music.
  7. I want to show people that I CAN do it.
  8. I find writing to be a beautiful way of expression.
  9. Even though it makes my eyes hurt (I get easy eye strain) it gives me a love for reading.  The more I write, the more I have a hunger to read other books.
  10. Simply because I enjoy it. It makes me happy.

When embers shine -Original photography
There’s something about fire that inspires me. It intrigues my very being. As well as the many other elements (Water, Wind, and Earth) it holds steals my attention. It holds warmth, safety, and life as well as pain, danger, and death.  How can something so wonderful be so dangerous? How can something so dangerous be so life sustaining? It’s beautiful and frightening and I love it.

Luck and Wishes - just a ramble - original photography
I’ve never let myself get caught up in the silliness of luck and wishes.  Four leaf clovers, horse shoes, and rabbits feet. What luck can that possibly bring?  Birthday candles and stars, Dandelions and 11:11. Why do we fill our heads with things that are simply imagination?

Silent Escape - Original Photography
Crack in the spine,
Fold in the page.
Stain on the cover,
